How to Solve a : Factoring the Unfactorable

Hi everyone, today I am going to show you how to solve a factoring the unfactorable, question:

Check list for solving a IS equal to one

  • Step one: Subtract the first number, to both side
  • Step two: Divide the middle term by 2, then square it, and add the number to both side
  • Step three: Take the square root of both side. (don’t forget the + or – constant)
  • Step four: Isolate the variable

  • Subtract the last term by both side
  • Divide the middle term by 2, square the number and add it to both of the side
  • Take the square root of both sides ( Don’t forget the + or – constant )
